SANDS HOTEL

Part of Margate’s beauty is the stunning views over the bay and this was a key concept throughout the Sands Hotel design.

 

Combining a contemporary tranquil setting we maintained aspects of the Victorian heritage of the building by keeping the original columns and stained glass windows and added opulent cornice detail to the ceiling.

The Chard, a feature chandelier was added through the centre of the staircase spanning all 5 floors of the hotel. The concept behind this piece was to reflect the shape of the crystals of the traditional chandeliers in the bar but with a contemporary feel.

Tranquillity is the key to any relaxing getaway and so the bedrooms have been designed around this idea. All the tones of the room have been used subtly and with luxury and comfort in mind.
